This booklet had its origins in information gathered for members of the Ashburton Family History Group’s cemetery walk in February 2014 That material has been added to and now covers all the known graves in the cemetery including three found in Cemetery records held by the Ashburton Museum. For some, little could be written except what was gleaned from the Ashburton District Council cemetery records, newspaper reports and the online Birth, Death and Marriage Register. This booklet covers only the families of those buried in the cemetery and it does not aim to record the full story of any family.
